The project takes root in the agricultural territory of the Lake Geneva basin. It consists in the realization of a bakery for the GAEC le Regain. These farmers, exploit the fields to produce organic cereals, which they transform into flour thanks to their own mill. With the bran they feed the animals, make oil and moreover, they made the step to build the bakery with their straw (also a waste of their production). Thus, nothing is lost and everything belongs to a virtuous circle. The artisanal building is made up of a single level, including a wood oven, a preparation laboratory, an office, changing rooms, storage and sanitary facilities. The straw walls are laid on a concrete footing and were built according to CST (Construction Under Tension) principles, before being coated with earth inside and out. The roof is composed of caissons, filled with straw bales on wainscoting, and covered with a steel sheet with large eaves that protect terraces and walls. The project therefore has "beautiful bales and a big hat", according to the rule of the earthen construction.
