Creation of an individual villa for a family of 4 people. Integrating into the slope and facing the forest on one side and the Lake Geneva basin on the other. The construction sees two of its corners completely open, that of the lower ground floor which accommodates a covered parking space and that opposite the upper ground floor which opens on a large corner terrace. The lower ground floor also houses the main entrance and a room dedicated to a music studio. The two floors above are dedicated to the living room kitchen and the bedrooms under the roof. The staircase is accompanied by a relaxation net floating above the entrance.
The challenge of this project lay in the realization of a participative building site for the phases of straw insulation and interior earth coating. The MOs also chose to cover themselves some phases of the second work. The realization of this villa in straw, is linked to the project of the GAEC, because they are the ones who provided the new yellow gold for the construction, on a principle of filling of a wood frame. The concrete base is anchored in the natural slope of the land. The floors are made of wood frames, filled with straw and braced with agépan panels (perspiring bracing panels) and plastered on the outside. The volume will be heated exclusively with wood.
