The project owners, a couple, contacted us following the departure of their parents for abroad, who wished to rent their villas in their absence, but to keep a small pied à terre to stay when they return occasionally. The project consists of replacing the existing garage with an extension in which 2 apartments of 2 rooms each can be created. In short, a simple and efficient volume in this very constrained area. The volume marks the end of the linearity of these contiguous villas of the 60s and aligns itself with them, taking up the lines of the latter. It is positioned as a head of the system that turns around and opens to the rear on the garden, and laterally for access. The challenge of this project is to work with a monolithic brick filled with sheep's wool. We chose to express the masonry construction by expressing the heads of slabs, which structure the facade covered with lime.
